Hailing from the vibrant island of Jamaica, Carlos' connection to the sea was ingrained early on. Guided by Uncle Moses, he first cast his line in the Gulf of Mexico, setting the stage for his lifelong affinity for fishing. Yet, it was in Miami that Carlos' passion took a turn. Enter Angel Vasquez, a seasoned waterman whose wisdom and teachings ignited an  evolution in Carlos' journey. As they navigated the ocean's depths together, Angel taught invaluable lessons, notably in the art of free diving, and spearfishing . To this day, Angel remains an enduring and powerful influence, forever shaping the course of Carlos' life and love for the sea.

Advancing to his late teen years, Carlos found himself at the helm of his  35ft Contender, embarking on passings across the open waters to the Bahamas. Guiding his vessel through high seas and hurricanes, Carlos confronted nature's elements head-on. With each  encounter, he not only gained a profound understanding of the ocean's alluring and captivating qualities but also gleaned  insights into its unpredictable temperament. These maritime adventures served as a crucible, forging a strong bond between Carlos and the sea, as he honed his skills, built  resilience, and embraced the uncertainty of the ocean's breathtaking beauty and its formidable challenges.

Fast forward to Panama, where Carlos, along with his wife Linda and three sons – Aaron, Ben, and Charlie – has established their new home. The enchanting waters of Panama awaken a shared passion for spearfishing and ocean exploration, a family  connection that mirrors Carlos' own  from a young age. As the joy of these  adventures improves their lives, Carlos contemplated the  possibilities of turning this passion into a business. With each charter reservation, the vision begins to crystallize, leading Carlos to a pivotal decision. Gradually, his transition from a  career as a home builder to assuming the role of a dedicated Captain aboard the Azul, their trusted 28ft Pursuit, becomes a reality. This remarkable evolution not only charts a new course for Carlos but also solidifies a legacy of shared love for the sea within the heart of his family.

Organically, Carlos included his sons in his maritime pursuits, imparting the intricacies of navigating these waters and nurturing their expertise as skilled guides. Today, their cohesive family unit  operates the business, a testament to their enduring bond and shared commitment.
